About the Boat CO Safe Campaign

Each year boaters die or are made seriously ill from carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.

Boats are built to keep water out, but this also makes them good containers for gases and fumes.

Boat CO Safe -- with TBS Boats & Safelincs Ltd -- are trying to change the law, so that every boat with a cabin in UK waterways must have a working Carbon Monoxide detector installed.

To start off this campaign, TBS Boats are installing - free of charge - a CO detector/alarm from Safelincs on every new or used boat they sell. Please contact them for more information.

We hope this website will raise your awareness of this silent killer, so please read our Top Tips for Staying Safe and Latest News on the Campaign.
